Morse code translator
Convert text to Morse code and back. Save the sound as WAV.
Characters not in the selected Morse table: Unreadable code: Enter up to 500 characters. Your text is kept.
Reading rules
Every — in the message is read as the same number of dashes. With no middle dots (・ · • ∙ ・ ⋅ ㆍ) but with - or …, it is two dashes; otherwise one. The reading switches automatically only when the first reading fails and the other can read the whole message. … is read as three dots.
For a different reading, replace — in the original text with - or -- and select Convert.

Conversion rules
- When entering Morse code, separate characters with one space and words with / or two or more spaces.
- In the Japanese system, hiragana becomes katakana and small kana become full-size kana.
- In the Japanese system, dakuten (..) and handakuten (..--.) are separate codes from the kana.
- The international system does not distinguish upper and lower case.
- Digits use the five-element international codes. The short Japanese digit forms, which overlap with kana codes, are not used.
- Dot and dash lengths are 1:3. Gaps within a character, between characters and between words are 1:3:7, with the dot as the unit.
- Procedural signals (prosigns) are not in the conversion table and cannot be read or generated; codes not in the table are shown as “Unreadable code”.
- You can enter up to 500 characters of text or Morse code, including spaces and line breaks.
